In 2014, they had the figleaf of ‘development’ to defend their electoral choices. The poisonous discourse over the past four years has ensured that there is no need for such thin veils anymore. Now, they can proudly say that this is what they are. They wilfully choose hatred, lies (from their biggest leader, no less) and corruption over everything else. They are proud of it. They gloat about it. And, they win.

Yet, cheering alongwith the winning side is not an option. The only choice is to be with the losers, as long as it is hatred and lies that are winning. And live on with the hope of the tide turning, one day.

National modia — two case studies

1.BJP forms Government in Manipur and Goa, despite Congress being the single biggest party.

Reaction of National modia, cowswamy, navika kumar, rahul shavashankar, kanwal, zakka jacob etc — “Amit shah is Chanakya! Brilliant move!”

2. Congress (with 37.9% votes) tries to form a coalition with JDS (with 18.2% votes) to keep away communal BJP (with 36.4% votes) from power in Karnataka

Reaction of National modia, cowswamy, navika kumar, rahul shavashankar, kanwal, zakka jacob etc — “Betrayal of people’s mandate!”, “Sneaking through the back door!”, “Murder of democracy”

Dey, cowdung-consuming vegetarian idiots, atleast look at the total vote shares before you do punditry from your Delhi/mumbai studios.

India “against corruption”

Quite amusing is this sight of television anchors who used to bark regularly against corruption, self-righteous individuals who voted against corruption and the naive souls who still claim that demonetisation wiped away all black money, celebrating the fact that their Amittu Shaji will win power in Karnataka through an open show of money (Rs.100 crore per MLA, no less) and muscle.

No wonder, since their favourite “writer”, whose writing qualification reads IIT-IIM, says that there is “no ethical way out” in a hung parliament. So, “let’s stop moralizing” as “horse trading is an art form”.

Have always felt that those who define their politics as “anti-corruption” are either too naive or are frauds, like Anna Hazare. Going by the number of people cheering on Amittu Shaji from both sides, as he walks in slow motion holding a suitcase (Mind you, it’s an art form!), it seems most of them were frauds who didn’t want to admit that they are rooting for this majoritarian thuggery.

Anti-Corruptionism is no political ideology. It is just a cover for even bigger crimes.

Three judge bench of Justices AK Sikri, Ashok Bhushan and SA Bobde to hear the Congress-JD(s) petition at 1.45am.

Atleast three people are thinking of Judge Loya right now.

When the fight is against an unethical bunch of thugs whose sole aim is to capture all the institutions, rewrite the constitution and turn the country into a theocracy, it is foolish to demand fair methods, as neutrals and liberals always do. For some of them, even a protest march is “unfair”. It is also self-defeating to equate the violence that this terrorist bunch unleashes to the violence from groups that resist them. It is about time the ones who play the useless balancing games realised their folly.

Democracy went for a morning walk, unaware that this is Amit Shah’s new India.

End of story

May 19, 2018–12.11 a.m.

No wonder Urjit Patel is unable to finish counting all the black money that was caught during demonetisation. In the next room, Amittu Shaji Pappan seems to be generating more than he can count. Just today evening we heard BJP leader and mining baron Janardhana Reddy offering Congress MLA Basanagouda Daddal a small sum of Rs.150 crores, which was kept aside to be used as toilet paper in the world’s biggest party headquarters. The only consolation is that they came to power in the name of fighting corruption and they are doing exactly that. The thuggishness is a bonus.

May 19, 2018– 2.57 p.m.

The propaganda machinery has begun its work to turn corrupt Yeddyurappa into a martyr, who was stopped by the opposition from implementing his welfare measures for the farmers. Heard this word “martyr” being used in quite a few sanghi new channels today afternoon. The timing though was quite unfortunate for the sound clips of Yeddyurappa’s and his son’s telephone calls to Congress MLAs, offering them several crores to jump ship, were released around the same time. Wait for a teary-eyed speech that will rival the drama unleashed by Modi, whenever he is in a tight spot.

Another attempt is to disocciate the Modi-Shah duo from the Karnataka drama, now that the BJP is almost sure to fail. The same people who were waiting to hail their “chanakya” (chanakam, for the rest of us) are saying that Yeddyurappa was given a free hand by the central leadership. But it is hard to wipe away the Shaji signature from all this thuggery. Not to forget how Ram Madhav boasted “We have Amit Shah”, when Sanghi journalist Navika Kumar asked him how BJP will manage the seats. Their ugly laughter, mocking the constitution, s still ringing in ou ears.

PS — Modiji is not corrupt, ok? BJP too.

May 19, 2018– 4.22 p.m.

Yeddyurappa becomes Thadiyurappa in 55 hours.

“We have Vomit shah” (hahahahahabah)
