Political Islamists, taliban and some cheap tricks

The political islamists might repeatedly try to equate themselves with the Muslims here, but the fact is that a majority of the Muslims reject this regressive, divisive bunch, which is reflective in how they are still a very minor player in the electoral arena in Kerala. But the practitioners of political Islam have an outsized influence in social media, and some of their seemingly neutral media platforms, through which they try to portray any attacks on their divisive politics as attacks on the entire religion. Just the same strategy used by the saffron bunch. The ones covertly and overtly supporting the taliban takeover in Afghanistan belong to this rather small group, but they are attempting to make it a problem of the entire religion. They are knowingly and willingly playing into the hands of their saffron brothers, for they are mutually dependent on each other for their growth.
